Lore & Background

Hydra Station was constructed by the Dharma Initiative as a zoological research facility, where experiments were conducted on animals such as polar bears and sharks. After the Purge, the Others took over the station and repurposed it as a prison for holding captives like Jack, Sawyer, and Kate. The station appears throughout multiple seasons following its debut in Season 3, and it was never a primary base for the Man in Black's faction.
